With inconsoLSO (LSO = Load Space Optimization), a new solution for the load space optimization is available which achieves both the quantitative and qualitative objectives in this area. It delivers the answers to the central questions such as: How many and which loading units are required to adequately pack and load goods? And how can the load spaces be optimally utilized from a volume, weight and load meter perspective? The load space optimization, which has been added to the Transport Management services of inconso AG, considers the entire processes from order picking with transport planning and route optimization through to the loading and unloading during the calculation. The module achieves the assignment of the appropriate shipping cartons, the stacking of items and cartons onto pallets and the loading of pallets and loading units into the truck load spaces or containers. The algorithms can be used either in single or three step process. All scenarios can be visualized in 3D with the help of inconsoLSO. Restrictions such as combination codes, stack factors, stackability and axle weights are considered alongside the parameters for nesting of items.
